Thailand's Department of Employment introduces Bor Tor 62 temporary work permit

Thailand’s Department of Employment has rolled out a new document for expats requiring short-term work authorization. The new permit, known as Form Bor Tor 62, acts as official proof of lawful employment for temporary assignments.

According to a recent update from Mahanakorn Partners, the newly introduced Form Bor Tor 62—also officially captioned "Form WP. 62"—is specifically designed to serve as "temporary evidence of lawful work."

Crucially, this document is intended strictly for temporary work scenarios. It is not designed to serve as an interim receipt or a "bridging" document while a standard, long-term work permit application is being processed.
